The utility has maintained the highest electric reliability in Florida for 21 consecutive years when compared to investor-owned utilities in the state. Power generation occurs at the OUC-owned Stanton Energy Center, utilizing a diverse fuel portfolio that incorporates nearly 20 megawatts of solar energy. Additionally, the water supply is sourced from the Lower Floridan Aquifer and undergoes rigorous quality assurance. More than 20,000 chemical and bacteriological tests are conducted annually to monitor over 135 regulated and unregulated substances, ensuring the delivery of clean and safe water to the community.
