The Materials Distribution Operations (MDO) department serves as the backbone of PG&E's energy delivery network. With 370 employees managing a $700 million inventory across four distribution centers and over 100 field locations, the team ensures the safe and reliable flow of materials throughout a 70,000-square-mile service territory. MDO's execution is critical to maintaining PG&E's ability to provide essential electric and gas services to its customers.
This position leads the development and implementation of performance improvement projects within the Supply Chain Materials Distribution Operations, guiding initiatives from inception to closeout. You will serve as a vital operational support link for Supply Chain, MDO Distribution Centers, and Field Services workgroups, managing requests through the MDO PMO Support mailbox.
In this hybrid role, you will utilize project management tools and methodologies to oversee technical, operational, and enterprise-level programs. Your work involves facilitating the resolution of daily issues across various Supply Chain organizations, engaging IT partners for SAP enhancements, and leading moderate to complex performance improvement projects. Additionally, you will play a key role in emergency response activities, supporting EOC and MTCC Logistics sections by applying knowledge of incident command structures to ensure operational continuity during critical events.
