About the Role
The SAP Security Production Support Contractor serves as a critical operational backfill, ensuring secure, compliant, and uninterrupted access to a diverse landscape of SAP environments. This position bridges the gap between traditional on-premise stability and modern cloud innovation, supporting a hybrid ecosystem that includes SAP ECC, BW, and HANA Database alongside next-generation platforms like SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP BTP, and SAP Cloud Identity Services.
Day in the Life
In this role, you will manage the daily rhythm of SAP security operations. Your work involves troubleshooting complex authorization issues, maintaining role hierarchies, and resolving incidents in alignment with strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will be the first line of defense for audit and SOX compliance, providing the necessary evidence and access reviews to maintain organizational integrity.
Beyond daily maintenance, you will play a pivotal role in the company's ERP modernization journey. You will provide strategic security input during the design of S/4HANA security models and support the secure enablement of SAP BTP and BDC implementations. From configuring subaccount access and role collections to assisting with identity federation and SSO setups, you will ensure that security is embedded into the architecture from the ground up. Your expertise will be essential during critical cutover activities, go-live phases, and hypercare support, ensuring a seamless transition for users and systems alike.
