About the Role
Coke Florida is seeking a dedicated Driver Merchandiser based out of our Orlando location. This is a fast-paced position designed for individuals who thrive on the road and take pride in representing the world's greatest beverage brands. As a Driver Merchandiser, you will be the face of our company at customer locations, responsible for the end-to-end delivery experience.
Your day begins early, starting at 4:00 AM, and continues until the route is complete. Saturdays are a required work day for this role. You will drive pre-ordered products to assigned accounts, ensuring accuracy and stability of the load before unloading. Beyond driving, you will actively merchandise, display, and rotate products on shelves, displays, and in coolers according to company standards. The role also involves utilizing smartphone technology for handling customer orders, invoicing, and electronic logging, as well as collecting monies due and settling all accounts daily.
This position is highly physical and requires the ability to work in a hot/humid indoor environment. You will be expected to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and walk for at least 4 hours during the workday, frequently lifting, carrying, and positioning objects weighing up to 50 pounds. You will also operate manual transport equipment, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, pushing and pulling loads for up to 100 yards without assistance.
Hiring Process
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States. The selection process includes a review of your driving record, which is evaluated according to Coca-Cola Beverages' guidelines to determine eligibility. Applicants must possess a valid Commercial Class A driver's license with no major moving violations in the last three years. Additionally, you must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical or hold a valid DOT Medical Card. Familiarity with DOT regulations and the ability to obtain and maintain a powered industrial truck certification are essential steps in your qualification journey.
