
This role is an advanced electrical engineering position within the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer Programs and Engineering subdivision at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. The team designs, fabricates, and tests full-scale propulsion plant hardware simulators to support U.S. Navy training programs. Key responsibilities include performing electrical and systems engineering, conducting design reviews, managing project lifecycles, and overseeing the installation and testing of PLC-based distributed I/O systems and power control infrastructure. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national security and the safe operation of naval reactors while working in a culture built on trust, empowerment, and collaboration. Candidates may work at the Bettis Site in Pennsylvania or the Kesselring Site in New York, with opportunities for independent work and cross-functional collaboration.
