About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Construction Attorney to join our team in a supportive and collegial environment. This role is designed for an independent practitioner who can manage matters from inception through resolution with sound judgment and strong analytical skills.
You will work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm's footprint and interact directly with clients, contractors, and industry professionals. - check_circleAddress claims related to defective plans, specifications, and design issues
- check_circleAssist clients with bid protests and procurement-related disputes
- check_circleManage deadlines, filings, and procedural requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- check_circleMaintain strong client relationships through responsiveness and strategic guidance
- check_circleRecord and maintain billable hours while ensuring all deadlines are met
- check_circleRepresent clients in disputes regarding wrongful termination, abandonment, acceleration, and delay
- check_circleAdvise clients throughout all phases of construction projects to mitigate risk
- check_circleHandle mechanic's liens and bond claims including performance and payment bond issues
Requirements
- verifiedAdmission to practice in the State of New York
- verifiedAt least 5 years of experience practicing construction law
- verifiedDemonstrated experience with construction contract drafting and review
- verifiedProven experience handling mechanic's liens, bond claims, and construction-related disputes
