Alaska Communications is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to join our legal team in Anchorage, Alaska. The Corporate Counsel will provide practical, business‑focused legal advice on a wide range of corporate matters, with a primary emphasis on procurement, commercial contracting, and transactional support for Alaska Communications' expansion of fiber and fixed wireless infrastructure across the state. The ideal candidate is a collaborative attorney with strong contract negotiation skills and experience working with both government and commercial counterparties.
This role partners closely with internal stakeholders across network engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain to structure transactions, support procurement, and negotiate agreements that advance strategic initiatives. The Corporate Counsel helps identify legal and business risks, ensures appropriate contract protections and compliance requirements, and delivers timely, solutions-oriented guidance. The successful candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented attorney who can manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly with business partners, and balance risk with business objectives.
