
This tenure-track faculty role within the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology focuses on advancing research into highly-infectious pathogens, host-pathogen interactions, and vaccine development. The position involves leading an extramurally-funded research program utilizing newly expanded BSL3 and animal BSL3 containment facilities, while also contributing to the training of graduate and medical students. The role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary community supported by extensive core facilities and generous start-up resources. Candidates will work in a state-of-the-art environment undergoing significant infrastructure expansion to support biodefense and emerging infectious disease studies.
