This entry-level driver training role is designed for individuals ready to learn and gain experience driving tractor-trailers or straight trucks on local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes. You will deliver and unload various food and food-related products to customers, ensuring all services are executed safely and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
As a Driver Trainee, you will ride with and assist a driver trainer, following their instructions to execute deliveries. Your day will involve performing safety checks, inspecting trailers for properly loaded freight, and completing accurate paperwork. You will interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, verifying deliveries, obtaining signatures, and handling returns. We offer a competitive pay package including a weekly minimum guarantee of $1,450 (projecting $80,000 - $90,000 annually) and a $2,500 referral bonus for active employees. Benefits start on Day 1 and include Health & Wellness coverage, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off. The role features a four-night work week with dispatch hours between 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.
