The Application & Cloud Security (AppSec) Team empowers over 500 developers to meet security goals by identifying and managing software risks while balancing security with system agility. As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will join an ambitious team of software and security engineers dedicated to evolving how Blackstone approaches security as it transitions to modern cloud-native architectures.
This role is critical to the firm's infrastructure, as all BXTI teams rely on Cloud Security for new AWS services, accounts, and key infrastructure components. You will own Cloud Security Posture Management, Cloud Workload Protection, and Cloud Threat Monitoring Infrastructure. This is a cross-cutting role that requires regular collaboration with cybersecurity teams, Cloud Platform Engineering, and Development to deliver controls that both protect and enable the firm.
You will help shape a secure architecture that meets current business needs while preparing for a multi-cloud future. Success in this role requires extensive knowledge of AWS, other cloud services, containerization, CI/CD, SDLC, networking, and software/API architecture. You will be at the forefront of cloud security in the community, working with product teams to serve the needs of the team's strategy and benefit anyone who uses the products.
