About the Team
The MCPS Category Management & Strategic Sourcing Advisor operates within a category comprising three key service areas: strategy, consulting, and tax/audit/actuarial/analytics. This group manages relationships with ten core supplier partners, overseeing approximately $300+ million in annual expenses across Cigna.
About the Role
This position is accountable for the end-to-end sourcing and contracting of consulting and professional services. The role exists to drive sourcing strategies, manage competitive bid processes, and deliver negotiated contracts that govern supplier relationships while aligning with Cigna's corporate initiatives.
A successful Advisor balances project prioritization with the challenge to innovate and improve service delivery. The day-to-day involves acting as a valued advisor to business buyers, negotiating Master Service Agreements and Statements of Work, and fostering mutually beneficial long-term partnerships. The role requires proactive communication and execution to reduce supplier fees and optimize benefits while minimizing risk.
