
This Family Safety Practitioner II role within the Protection and Preservation Services division focuses on providing clinical casework to stabilize families facing abuse, neglect, or significant risk. The position involves conducting comprehensive safety assessments, developing service plans with families, and coordinating essential resources such as housing, mental health support, and financial aid. Key responsibilities include performing home visits, managing crisis interventions, preparing legal documentation, and testifying in court to ensure child safety. The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on vulnerable community members while working within a diverse, multicultural environment. Although primarily based in the South County region, the position requires an on-call rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays, along with travel for home visits and court appearances.
