As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Floater, you will provide basic and skilled nursing care to patients under the direction of RNs, NPs, or Physicians. This role is vital for maintaining the flow of care across our diverse locations. You will utilize strong observational skills to report pertinent patient symptoms and changes in condition, ensuring providers are informed of urgent needs immediately.
Your day will involve a blend of clinical and operational duties. You will obtain vital signs, assist with specimen collection, and prepare patients for examinations. You will administer medications according to physician orders and provide essential education to patients regarding diagnostic tests and home health care. Beyond direct patient care, you will maintain accurate medical records, manage clinic supplies, and ensure exam and treatment rooms remain clean, organized, and safe. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate as part of a team is essential to this position.
