This role is part of the Culinary & Stewarding division, supporting the Main Kitchen operations. The team works under the general guidance of the Culinary management team and Main Kitchen Cook 1 members to deliver high-quality food service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
As a Kitchen Helper, you will gain hands-on culinary experience by participating in the day-to-day operations of the Main Kitchen. This position is designed for individuals eager to learn entry-level cooking duties, such as grilling burgers and fish, roasting meats, and preparing pasta under the supervision of higher-rated cooks.
Your day will involve assisting in the preparation of a wide variety of menu items, including cold dishes, salads, cold meats, fish, and poultry. You will perform essential tasks such as slicing and grinding meat, mixing dressings and sauces, and preparing hot and cold sandwiches. Additionally, you will support banquet operations by setting up and breaking down buffets, running food during events, and working at the banquet action carving station.
Candidates selected for this position will undergo training on entry-level cooking duties and routine cook work. The role emphasizes learning through direct participation and working under the direction of experienced team members.
We maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary work environment. All team members are expected to operate kitchen equipment following strict safety procedures and standards, ensuring proper storage and rotation of food items.
