We are seeking a CIP Sanitation Operator for our Orrville, OH facility. This role is vital to our sanitation department, ensuring optimum product quality by executing proper cleanup and sanitation tasks in strict adherence to regulatory standards. The position guarantees that both the product and the production process remain clean and sanitized.
The role involves performing basic housekeeping and sanitation of production equipment and facilities, including floors, walls, ceilings, air vents, and lights. You will conduct preventive maintenance on product contact surfaces such as gaskets, seals, O-rings, and plates according to the Master Sanitation Schedule. A key part of the day involves analyzing process and equipment performance data to troubleshoot issues and improve quality, while utilizing a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities for process enhancement.
Work schedules typically run Monday through Friday, though start times vary based on the production schedule. Saturdays and Sundays are required as needed, with days off during the week not guaranteed to be consecutive. During ice cream season, weekend work is mandatory. The schedule is subject to change based on seasonal volume, and overtime is required. Seasonally, you may work in the fluid and cultured departments.
