
This temporary Research Scientist/Engineer role serves as the Field Research Operations Manager for the GTMBA, a global initiative dedicated to deploying deep-ocean moored buoys for climate research and forecasting. The position involves comprehensive cruise planning, coordinating international field operations, and managing instrumentation laboratories. Key responsibilities include leading research cruises as Chief Scientist, performing real-time data quality analysis, supervising junior staff, and liaising with domestic and foreign partners to ensure successful buoy deployments and recoveries.
