Inspire Development Centers provides Early Childhood Education (ECE) and social services to more than 4,000 children across the State of Washington. Operating through over 27 Child Development Centers in both center-based and home-based settings, we serve families through various federal and state-funded programs, including Regional Head Start, Migrant Seasonal Head Start, ECEAP, and Early Head Start.
A large majority of the children we serve speak Spanish as their first language. Our mission requires us to coordinate and adhere to differing regulations and stipulations while meeting annual quotas for non-federal share funds. We are dedicated to creating a supportive environment where children can thrive and families can access essential resources.
This position is a vital partner to the bus driver, ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of children to and from our centers. You will be the constant watch over the children entrusted to your care, maintaining awareness of their location at all times and escorting them securely to and from the vehicle.
Beyond transportation, you will serve as a flexible support member of the center team. Your day may involve assisting teachers with supervision, helping kitchen staff prepare food items, managing laundry duties, and rotating to provide staff with scheduled breaks. You will act as a liaison between parents and staff, disseminating information and ensuring that medication and breast milk are transported securely. Safety is paramount; you will conduct daily health checks, verify attendance, and participate in emergency drills to ensure every child is protected.
Candidates selected for an interview will be required to pass initial and periodic criminal and background checks, including a Department of Early Learning (DEL) background check. Additional requirements include a health clearance, a current Food Handler card, and First Aid/CPR certification. The process also includes a TB screen, HIV/AIDS training, Blood Borne Pathogen training, and a random drug screen. All successful candidates must sign a Confidentiality Agreement and complete a Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement annually.
