Under the direct supervision of the Site Lead or ELOP Manager, the Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELOP) Group Leader serves as a vital link between students and their growth. This role is designed to provide virtual and classroom instruction, assistance, and tutoring to students in our after-school program. You will lead engaging, culturally rich academic, enrichment, and recreation activities for groups of approximately 10 to 20 youth.
In this position, you will create opportunities for students to develop and strengthen their academic, physical, and social skills through high-yield learning activities. Your day will involve facilitating organized learning experiences, differentiating lessons for students with various abilities, and fostering a safe, positive atmosphere. You will act as an active, positive team member, communicating effectively with supervisors, staff, volunteers, and members while serving as a role model who demonstrates positive values and ethical behavior.
Candidates selected for this position must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and maintain compliance with the organization's drug-free workplace policy. A clear TB test, as required by the school district, is also mandatory. Additionally, successful candidates must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire. Please note that this role may require occasional weekend and evening availability to support fundraising events, committee meetings, trainings, and activities.
