The Institute for Curriculum Services (ICS) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching K-12 education by ensuring accurate, high-quality teaching and classroom materials about Jews, Judaism, and Jewish history. We achieve this mission by collaborating with publishers and content developers to create instructional resources and by providing professional development to classroom teachers.
As part of the ICS Professional Learning team, the Florida Educator plays a pivotal role in scaling professional development across the state. This position focuses on increasing educators' knowledge and confidence in teaching Jewish history topics while serving as a cross-departmental resource to ensure our initiatives are informed by legislative and policy developments.
We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, and innovative education professional to join our team. The Florida Educator will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with potential professional development partners throughout Florida, with the ultimate goal of delivering ICS professional development statewide.
This role is designed for someone who thrives in a remote environment but is ready to hit the road. The position requires regular travel (approximately 35%) to in-person workshops, conferences, and staff exhibition booths. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for training events is essential. You will act as the organization's expert on the Florida K-12 educational landscape, interpreting trends and sharing insights with relevant departments to identify opportunities at the state and district levels.
Due to the anticipated volume of responses, we will contact only those candidates who most closely match our requirements.
Important Application Note: We will not consider applications that do not include a cover letter. Please ensure your cover letter articulates your passion for our mission and your fit for this specific role.
ICS celebrates and appreciates the contributions of all team members. We are a collaborative team that is intellectually curious, warm, and upbeat, dedicated to learning, growing, and excellence. We seek talented, kind, and caring individuals who are proactive problem-solvers with a growth mindset.
ICS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, ethnicity, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or disabilities.
