About the Role
As a Key Holder at Walgreens, you serve as a vital extension of store management, ensuring the business runs smoothly in their absence. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and are passionate about delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. You will act as a liaison between management and the team, stepping up to lead operations, manage cash handling, and maintain store standards whenever the store is open.
Day in the Life
Your day begins with opening the store, managing system startups, and preparing the floor and stockroom for the business day. You will be the first point of contact for deliveries, opening the back door and coordinating with vendors. Throughout the shift, you model exceptional customer service by greeting every guest, proactively offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
Operationally, you are responsible for the accuracy of the store's financial and inventory systems. This includes managing cash drops, processing refunds, handling price modifications, and maintaining precise inventory counts. You will also assist in developing store displays, ensuring proper product placement, and adhering to strict compliance regulations regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco. When management is unavailable, you communicate tasks to the team, report disciplinary issues, and ensure the store remains clean, orderly, and secure.
