About the Role
As a Key Holder, you serve as a vital extension of store management, stepping in to open and close the store, manage cash operations, and ensure the floor and stockroom are prepared for the business day. You are responsible for the security and readiness of the store, including handling deliveries and maintaining accurate inventory counts.
This role is designed for someone who models and delivers a distinctive, delightful customer experience. You will engage with customers and patients, resolving issues and sharing service best practices to ensure every interaction is positive. Beyond customer service, you act as a liaison between management and the team, communicating tasks and reporting on store operations when leadership is not present.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOpen and close the store in the absence of management, including system start-ups and cash handling
- check_circleProcess product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops to the safe
- check_circleEnsure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco
- check_circleMaintain accurate inventory counts across basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations
- check_circleEnsure store cleanliness and request repairs for exterior and interior maintenance as needed
- check_circleEngage customers, resolve issues, and model customer service best practices
- check_circleManage basic department pricing, make daily price changes, and ensure proper signage display
- check_circleAssist managers in reviewing order exceptions and managing reverse logistics activities
- check_circleAssist with bookkeeping activities including cash reports, counts, ledgers, and bill payments
- check_circleCoach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes and delivery reception
- check_circleServe as a liaison between management and team members to communicate tasks when managers are absent
- check_circleConduct bag checks of team members before they leave the store
Requirements
