As a Secondary Resource Inclusion Teacher, you will serve as the primary instructional delivery person in the classroom, playing a pivotal role in student achievement and growth. This position is demanding, varied, and complex, requiring you to be a dedicated relationship builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will support students with disabilities in a general education setting, providing small-group instruction to those with moderate to severe cognitive delays. Your day will involve differentiating learning for second language learners and ensuring equitable opportunities for all. You will collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to advocate for children, problem-solve effectively, and create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that promotes positive social and academic experiences.
An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment physical (including a drug test), a National fingerprint-based Criminal Background Check (NCBC), and a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check. All requirements must be completed prior to the start of employment.
