About Lynn Public Schools

Lynn is a vibrant, seaside urban community located just north of Boston, known for its contemporary public art, historic architecture, and thriving cultural district. Reflecting the city's international character, Lynn Public Schools serves approximately 17,000 students across 29 diverse school sites. Our district is a linguistically and culturally rich community, with 60% of our students speaking two or more languages.

Our vision is to fulfill the intellectual, physical, and social-emotional potential of all students. We are committed to core values of inclusiveness, shared responsibility, collaborative relationships, high expectations, and inspiring life-long learning. LPS strives to strengthen an environment that honors diversity and responds effectively to the social-emotional experiences of every student and family.

About the Role

As a Secondary Resource Inclusion Teacher, you will serve as the primary instructional delivery person in the classroom, playing a pivotal role in student achievement and growth. This position is demanding, varied, and complex, requiring you to be a dedicated relationship builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will support students with disabilities in a general education setting, providing small-group instruction to those with moderate to severe cognitive delays. Your day will involve differentiating learning for second language learners and ensuring equitable opportunities for all. You will collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to advocate for children, problem-solve effectively, and create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that promotes positive social and academic experiences.

Hiring Process & Application

An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment physical (including a drug test), a National fingerprint-based Criminal Background Check (NCBC), and a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check. All requirements must be completed prior to the start of employment.

Equal Opportunity & Diversity

Lynn Public Schools is dedicated to the goal of strengthening a school culture that honors and celebrates diversity. It is the policy of the district not to unlawfully discriminate on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, color, national origin, creed/religion, ethnicity, ancestry, age, disability, or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state, or local laws. This policy explicitly includes protections for hair texture, hair type, hair length, and protective hairstyles.
