About the Role

This entry-level Salesperson position is designed to support our DIY business and help achieve our sales and service objectives. You will serve as a vital link between our customers and our inventory, utilizing your knowledge of store systems, basic automotive parts, and maintenance processes. Whether working part-time or full-time, you will be responsible for sourcing parts from stores, hubs, and external suppliers while maintaining in-depth awareness of our inventory levels.

Day in the Life

Your primary focus will be delivering an excellent selling experience for both in-store and phone customers. You will work towards achieving personal sales goals while contributing to the store's overall targets. A significant portion of your day involves providing hands-on DIY services, such as battery installation, testing, and wiper blade installs. You will also manage critical inventory processes, including truck put-away, cycle counts, and backstock organization.

Beyond sales and service, you will ensure the store maintains high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency. This includes keeping floors, bathrooms, and the parking lot tidy, as well as safely delivering parts to customers when needed. Success in this role requires a blend of friendly communication, basic driving and navigation skills, and the ability to operate various inventory and POS systems effectively.

Who You Are

To thrive in this environment, you should have 2-3 years of successful sales experience within a diverse retail setting, with a proven track record of providing superior customer experiences. You must be able to speak and write English effectively, with Spanish being a plus, to build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management. You will need to interpret safety rules, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals accurately, while applying basic math skills to handle transactions and measurements.

Flexibility is key; you must be able to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed. While fleet safety certification is preferred, you will also need the physical ability to walk, stand, and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 100 pounds). The role involves working primarily indoors, though you will occasionally step outside to install parts or work in areas exposed to weather, moving mechanical parts, or chemicals.
