About the Role
This entry-level Salesperson position is designed to support the DIY business by achieving sales and service objectives. You will serve as a vital link between customers and our inventory, utilizing knowledge of store systems, basic automotive parts, and maintenance processes. Whether working part-time or full-time, you will be responsible for sourcing parts from stores, hubs, and external suppliers while maintaining in-depth awareness of store inventory.
Day in the Life
Your primary focus will be delivering an excellent selling experience for DIY customers through both in-store visits and phone interactions. You will work towards personal and store-wide sales goals while providing essential DIY services, such as battery installation, testing, and wiper blade installs. Beyond sales, you will manage critical inventory processes, including truck put-away, cycle counts, and backstock management. You will also ensure store cleanliness and safety standards are met, occasionally delivering parts to customers and navigating various weather conditions to complete installations.
Success Factors
To thrive in this role, you will need basic driving and navigation abilities, along with the capacity to use delivery board systems and inventory equipment. Strong communication skills are essential for building relationships with customers, peers, and management. You should be comfortable operating POS and parts lookup systems, as well as utilizing diagnostic equipment for DIY services. A foundational understanding of parts and automotive systems, combined with a commitment to safety, will set you up for success.
Prior Experience
Candidates with 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment are preferred, particularly those who have a track record of providing superior customer experiences.

Compensation and Benefits
The good faith estimate for this role is between $13.50 and $14.61 USD per hour for a new team member. The specific rate offered depends on factors including geographic location, retail experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differentials.
