The Resident Director & Student Engagement Coordinator is a required live-in role that serves as the cornerstone of residence hall operations and student engagement programming. This position is designed to advance connection, belonging, and service while supporting student success and retention.
In this role, you will lead a staff of Resident Assistants serving approximately 100 residents, recruiting, training, and supervising them to foster a safe and inclusive community. Beyond residence life, you will advise the Student Activities Board (SAB), coordinate intramural events, and create community service opportunities that promote student connection. You will collaborate across campus to enhance the cultural and academic life of our campus and region, inspiring the next generation to make meaningful contributions to the world.
As an exempt employee, you may occasionally work beyond standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, to fulfill the responsibilities of the role and participate in an on-call rotation for emergent situations.

One to two years of related professional experience. Master's degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs or related field. Experience supervising student staff and advising student organizations. Event planning, assessment, and application of student development theory. Bilingual in Spanish or some knowledge of the Spanish language.
Skills: Microsoft Office, Spanish.
Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required; Master's degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs or related field preferred.
