The Chemist serves as a critical bridge between advanced laboratory analysis and client success. In this role, you will utilize state-of-the-art equipment to perform accurate chemical analyses, transforming raw data into concise reports that drive sound conclusions and propose strategic next steps. Beyond internal analysis, you will actively partner with clients to determine the best analytical options available, ensuring their expectations are not just met but exceeded.
You will also drive the evolution of the laboratory's capabilities by developing new test methods and evaluating emerging technologies to upgrade current instrumentation. A key part of your day involves maintaining equipment through proper servicing and preventative maintenance to maximize uptime. Furthermore, you will play a vital role in team growth by training staff scientists and technicians, coordinating the co-op program for the Testing Group, and supervising the interview, onboarding, and daily activities of candidates.
Safety is paramount in this position; you will be responsible for maintaining safety and 6S standards across the Analytical, Furnace, and Microscopy labs within the Testing Group.
