The Lab Technician is the guardian of product integrity, responsible for testing the physical and chemical properties of in-process goods and finished products. This role ensures strict compliance with company, regulatory, and customer specifications by comparing test results against written requirements. Beyond routine testing, the position plays a vital part in research and development functions and maintains the precision of laboratory equipment through rigorous calibration.
You will be the bridge between the lab and the production floor, interpreting data to provide proactive information that aids in manufacturing consistent, high-quality products. From segregating non-conforming materials to preparing USDA products for inspection, your work directly impacts the safety and quality of the final output.
You will operate within a dynamic 24/7 manufacturing environment where the Lab Technician must be available across all shifts, including weekends and holidays. The setting is a normal plant atmosphere that includes exposure to high noise levels, extreme temperatures, steam, dust, and wet or slick conditions.
