About the Role
The Environmental Manager is the steward of the plant's environmental program, ensuring alignment with federal and state laws alongside corporate policies. This role is critical for maintaining ongoing environmental compliance and fostering best practices across all operations. You will implement environmental strategies to meet targets, deploy monitoring tools, and serve as the primary local contact for regulatory and community stakeholders. The position involves a dynamic mix of on-site auditing, regulatory liaison work, and strategic planning to uphold Ash Grove's commitment to safety and excellence.

Requirements
- verifiedMinimum 4 year/ Bachelors degree in environmental studies, engineering, natural sciences, law or related field
- verifiedMinimum 7 years of experience in the environmental field, cement, mining or related industry preferred
- verifiedProficient in English written and verbal communication skills
- verifiedProficient in listening skills
- verifiedProficient in problem-solving skills
- verifiedAbility to use a computer and Microsoft Office products
- verifiedKnowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety and environmental laws and regulations
- verifiedKnowledge of environmental programs, policies, and practices applicable to a cement manufacturing environment
