About the Role
As an Environmental Technician Intern, you will support field investigations on active environmental projects, including industrial and redevelopment sites. This role offers hands-on experience alongside experienced professionals while contributing directly to projects that protect public health and the environment. You will gain practical field skills, learn industry standards, and see how environmental work translates into real-world outcomes. This is an entry-level internship with potential long-term opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct groundwater, soil, and air sampling in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- check_circleSupport drilling operations by monitoring and logging soil borings and installing monitoring wells
- check_circleRecord field observations, measurements, and sample data accurately and thoroughly
- check_circleAssist with construction activities such as site preparation and soil excavation
- check_circlePrepare and organize field documentation including chain-of-custody forms and daily reports
- check_circleUtilize Microsoft Office software for data entry, report preparation, and communication
- check_circleAdhere to company health and safety policies while using appropriate personal protective equipment
- check_circleOperate and maintain field instrumentation including PIDs, volt meters, and pH probes
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school degree required
- verifiedDegree in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Science (or within 1 year of graduation)
- verifiedOSHA training required
- verifiedMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) knowledge required
- verifiedAbility to travel to middle TN sites and 10% overnight travel within TN
