About the Role
The Texas Dairy Queen Operators' Council is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our support staff dedicated to serving Dairy Queen operators across the State of Texas. This role is pivotal in partnering with the Director of Purchasing and Distribution to manage vendor relationships, source essential goods and services, and negotiate contracts. The primary mission is to ensure cost-effective purchasing strategies that directly support the daily operations and success of our franchisees.
As a key member of the team, you will act with urgency and ownership, bridging the gap between corporate strategy and franchisee needs. You will communicate directly with franchisees and managers to address supply issues and track key promotional items for marketing analysis. The position requires a blend of analytical rigor and relationship management to navigate the unique challenges of the restaurant and food commodity supply chain.
Location and Travel
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Bedford, TX. While the role is primarily office-based, it includes minimal travel requirements for vendor plant inspections, the annual National Restaurant Association show, and both Corporate and State Conventions.

Requirements
