The Director of Purchasing serves as a strategic leader within the Terre Haute, IN operations, driving the sourcing and procurement of all primary and secondary packaging components. This role is critical to supporting manufacturing operations by analyzing packaging requirements and supply markets to develop high-quality, cost-competitive strategies aligned with company objectives.
In this position, you will lead supplier negotiations, establish purchase contracts, and ensure on-time performance and compliance. The role requires close collaboration with Production, Quality, Research & Development, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure materials meet both current operational needs and future product requirements. You will utilize SAP to manage system data, pricing, and supplier information while maintaining frequent communication with the approved supply base.
