About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to join their growing team in Newington, CT. This role is critical for overseeing, analyzing, and optimizing accounting processes, with a specific focus on inventory systems and reporting. The ideal candidate will ensure that financial practices align with company goals and GAAP standards while collaborating across various departments to drive accuracy and efficiency.
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. You will manage inventory accounting aspects, including cost analysis and variance reporting, while developing and improving inventory tracking systems. Your work will directly support regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and year-end physical inventory processes to assess accuracy and compliance. Additionally, you will collaborate with operations, supply chain, and production teams to ensure seamless alignment between inventory records and financial reporting practices.
