As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate at Walgreens, you serve as the bridge between our pharmacy services and the community. Your mission is to model and deliver a distinctive, delightful customer experience while ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy and retail floor. You will work under the direct supervision of pharmacists to assist in the practice of pharmacy, handling patient information, processing prescriptions, and managing inventory with precision and care.
Your day begins by engaging with customers and patients, greeting them warmly, and offering proactive assistance. You will resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience, sharing best practices with the team to maintain high standards of courtesy and service.
In the pharmacy, you will utilize pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow. You are responsible for filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying accuracy, and checking for possible interactions. You will also handle telephone calls, process manual claims for third-party programs, and assist with inventory management activities such as ordering and storing shipments.
Beyond the pharmacy counter, you will contribute to the overall store operations by keeping counters and shelves clean, constructing displays, and ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. You may also provide customer service in the photo area and manage web pick-up responsibilities, ensuring orders are filled and delivered efficiently.

Six months of experience in a retail environment. Prior work experience with Walgreens. Good math skills for filling prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications. Good computer skills. Knowledge of store inventory control. PTCB certification.
