About the Role
In the NSG Cardiac Intermediate Care unit at Roper Hospital, you will assist the nursing staff by performing essential clerical and patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This role is vital to maintaining the flow of care on the unit, ensuring patient records are updated in a timely and orderly manner.
Your day will involve acknowledging and greeting customers upon their arrival to the unit with an enthusiastic and friendly approach. You will serve as a constant point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including patients, families, physicians, employees, and visitors. Success in this position requires the ability to communicate clearly, report changes in a patient's condition to the professional nurse, and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to organizational policies and safety precautions.

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: Graduate of accredited high school or GED; Completed Fundamentals of Nursing course or Nursing Assistant Program; Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification; Experience as patient care technician in acute care or nursing home; and Experience with direct patient care in assisted living facility.
