In the NSG Cardiac Intermediate Care unit at Roper Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting the nursing staff by performing essential clerical and patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This position serves as a bridge between administrative efficiency and compassionate patient interaction.
Your day will involve maintaining and updating patient records in a timely, orderly manner, ensuring accuracy in both paper and electronic formats. You will be the first point of contact for many, acknowledging and greeting customers upon their arrival to the unit with an enthusiastic and friendly approach. Effective communication is key, as you will interact constantly with patients, families, physicians, employees, and visitors. You will also be responsible for reporting any changes in a patient's condition to the professional nurse and maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to organizational policies and safety precautions.
