This Full-time Day Shift position is located in the Med/Surg department at Intermountain Health Layton Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will assist licensed professionals by performing various clinical tasks and procedures. You may also assume the responsibilities of a Health Unit Coordinator, managing unit records, transcribing physician orders, and ensuring the unit is stocked and organized.
Your day will involve prioritizing basic patient care, including toileting, bathing, and comfort measures, while providing excellent customer service to patients and their families. You will collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care, report changes in patient conditions promptly, and foster a safe environment by adhering to safety policies. In some units, you may also perform telemetry duties and transport medications.
