For nearly 50 years, RiverStone Health has been an essential provider of personal and public health services to the Yellowstone County community and south-central Montana. Guided by our HELP principles—Health, Education, Leadership, and Protection—we deliver expertise across all ages and stages of life. Our services span medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare, home care, hospice, public health initiatives like immunizations and WIC, and the education of future health professionals. We are driven by the underlying principles of access, affordability, compassion, and quality in every interaction, striving to improve life, health, and safety for all communities we serve.
As a Medical Assistant/Patient Access Specialist/Dental Assistant on our Mobile Unit, you will be the vital link between our clinical care team and the patients we serve. This position is designed to provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients. You will play a dual role: managing patient access by scheduling appointments, collecting information, and handling administrative tasks, while simultaneously supporting clinical care by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting with medical and dental procedures.
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, as you will be operating out of a 40-foot mobile clinic. You will drive the unit to various locations, including outreach settings, community events, and schools, often working outdoors. This role requires you to bring integrity and innovation to your daily tasks, ensuring that every patient interaction reflects our mission of compassion and quality care. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, and front desk staff to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by the Community Partners Program Manager. The process typically includes a review of qualifications followed by an interview to assess fit with our team and mission. Successful candidates will be required to obtain specific certifications, including Radiation Health & Safety (RHS) Certification through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) within six months of hire, and maintain a valid Montana Driver's License.
