About the Unit: 900 East
The 900 East unit is a 30-bed adult medical-surgical department specializing in post-operative care for gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) surgical patients. We are also recognized as a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery. Our unit features a combination of private and semi-private rooms designed for comfort and healing. While we do not offer telemetry or cardiac monitoring, our dedicated team provides high-quality, patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork.
The Role
This position offers an opportunity to provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. You will perform essential duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, and changing linens. A key part of your role involves obtaining information on patient conditions as requested by the nursing staff and promptly reporting any changes. This role is open to Certified Nurse Assistants, Nurse Assistants, and Nurse Assistant Trainees.
Training Opportunity
For those interested in developing their skills, our Nurse Assistant Training Program functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. During the clinical rotation, you will provide basic patient care under the supervision of a clinical educator and nursing staff, performing duties within your scope of practice. Upon completion of the training, a competency assessment will be administered to validate your learning.

- verifiedBLS certification obtained within 90 days
