About the Role

The HCA Healthcare Residency Program at Del Sol Medical Center is a year-long, paid initiative designed to shepherd new graduates through the transition from student nurse to registered nurse. This program provides a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents to foster learning, clinical application, and professional socialization.

As a Resident I Graduate Nurse, you will be surrounded by a culture that prioritizes your development. The program equips you with the tools necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment through advanced clinical training in a specialty area, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training, and hands-on simulations. You will work collaboratively on an evidence-based practice project while receiving mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.

In this role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage," you will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care. You will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, striving to anticipate needs and resolve them proactively to support an unparalleled patient experience.
