About the Role
In the NSG Cardiac Intermediate Care department at Roper Hospital, you will play a vital support role by performing clerical and patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This position is essential for maintaining the flow of care and ensuring accurate documentation.
Your day will involve greeting patients and their families with an enthusiastic and friendly approach upon arrival to the unit. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating patient records in a timely, orderly manner, utilizing both paper and electronic systems. A key part of your responsibilities includes monitoring patient conditions and reporting any changes to the professional nursing staff. You will also interact constantly with internal and external customers, including physicians, employees, and visitors, requiring strong communication skills and a neat, legible handwriting style for documentation.
Work Schedule
This is a PRN (as needed) position with no benefits attached. The shift covers evenings and nights, running from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
