About the Role
As a Merchandiser for PepsiCo in the PBNA region, you will be the face of our brand within large-volume grocery and retail stores. This role is designed to ensure our products are visible, accessible, and appealing to shoppers. You will work independently to manage assigned accounts, maintaining high standards of product presentation while building strong relationships with store personnel and customers.
This is a dynamic, field-based position that requires you to move between multiple locations. You will spend your day stocking shelves, rotating products in coolers and storage rooms, setting up promotional displays, and ensuring backroom inventory is organized. The role is labor-intensive, involving the physical handling of cases weighing 20-45 pounds, as well as the operation of equipment like hand trucks and pallet jacks to transport goods from storage to the sales floor.
While the schedule follows a consistent pattern with specific start times, there is an opportunity to attain different work schedules over time. You will interact regularly with store managers and customers, communicating issues and delivering exceptional service. This is a self-managed role where you will use handheld devices to input orders and ensure compliance with operating procedures and designated routes.
Hiring Process & Requirements
For positions requiring the use of a personal vehicle to access multi-store locations, mileage reimbursement is provided. Candidates must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License and proof of insurance.
Because this role involves regular field work away from a physical company location, including interfacing with employees, vendors, and the general public, a background check is required following a conditional offer of employment. This includes a review of criminal history in accordance with applicable laws (such as the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act), as well as verification of education, employment history, and driving history where applicable. A drug screening is also part of the pre-employment process.
