This Merchandiser position serves the East Side accounts, covering the route from Oakley to Batavia, Ohio. You will be the face of PepsiCo within large-volume grocery and retail stores, responsible for ensuring product availability and presentation. The role is designed to be self-managed, requiring you to operate with minimal supervision while building strong relationships with store managers and customers.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of physical activity and customer interaction. You will stock shelves, rotate products in coolers and storage rooms, and set up promotional displays to maximize sales. This is a labor-intensive role where you will move cases weighing 20-45 pounds, utilize equipment like hand trucks and pallet jacks, and maintain a neat and orderly backroom. You will also use handheld devices to input orders and communicate store issues directly to management.
To be considered for this field-based role, you must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid U.S. Driver's License with proof of insurance. Because the position involves regular field work and visiting customer locations, a conditional offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening. The Company conducts criminal history reviews in accordance with applicable laws, including the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act, to ensure safety.
