About the Role
As a Merchandiser, you will play a vital role in maintaining product presence within large-volume grocery and retail stores. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, field-based environment where organization and reliability are key. You will be responsible for the end-to-end merchandising of assigned accounts, ensuring shelves are fully stocked, displays are attractive, and inventory is rotated to maintain freshness and compliance.
This is a self-managed role that requires you to operate with minimal supervision while building strong relationships with store managers and customers. Your day will involve a consistent schedule with specific start times, though opportunities may arise to vary your work schedule over time. You will serve as the face of the brand at the store level, ensuring that promotional materials are displayed correctly and that the backroom remains organized and orderly.
The role is physically active, involving the lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling of cases weighing 20-45 pounds. You will utilize equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and U-boats to transport products from storage to the sales floor, coolers, and displays. Success in this position requires the ability to bend, reach, and squat while maintaining high standards of product presentation and customer service.
Hiring Process & Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid U.S. Driver's License with proof of insurance. Because this role involves regular field work visiting multiple customer locations, a personal vehicle is required to access assigned shifts. Candidates must also be able to pass a physical capabilities test.
Following a conditional offer of employment, the company will conduct a review of criminal history, a pre-employment background check, and a drug screening in accordance with applicable laws. This includes compliance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance, the California Fair Chance Act, and the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. The company will also verify education, employment history, and motor vehicle history where applicable.
