We are seeking a Manager, Business Development (Transactional) to join our Firm's Washington D.C. office on a hybrid basis. This role is designed for a professional with a background from a large law firm who is ready to drive strategic growth for our M&A and Corporate practices.
In this position, you will partner closely with the Associate Director of Business Development to execute strategic plans and objectives. You will serve as a central resource for cross-practice collaboration, managing everything from communications and research to the implementation of partner pipelines. Your work will ensure consistent progress on the Firm's key business initiatives, bridging the gap between legal expertise and market opportunity.
Your day will be a dynamic mix of strategic planning, content creation, and relationship management. You will take ownership of high-stakes pitch materials, drafting tailored capability statements and presentations that articulate our value proposition to potential clients. You will advise attorneys on the sales cycle, manage complex sales pipelines across regions, and oversee the accurate profiling of practice experience in our database.
Beyond the desk, you will drive profile-raising activities by coordinating speaking events, managing legal directory submissions, and collaborating with the global PR team to enhance our visibility. You will also lead the execution of client events, analyzing attendee data to maximize engagement and tracking outcomes in our CRM. As a leader, you will provide direction to direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of seven years of business development and marketing experience specifically within a law firm environment. The selection process will focus on identifying individuals with a proven track record in transactional practice support, strong project management skills, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, hybrid team environment.
We value a professional demeanor characterized by high emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. We seek individuals who exercise sound judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and possess the flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of our business. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce where every team member can contribute their unique perspective to our shared success.
