This position serves as a vital support member of the department, dedicated to ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and readiness of City parks and facilities for the community. The role exists to bridge the gap between routine maintenance and the dynamic needs of special events, ensuring that public spaces remain welcoming and functional for all residents.
You will be the hands-on presence that keeps our parks running. Your day will involve a mix of steady groundskeeping and the fast-paced coordination required for community gatherings. Whether you are setting up stages for a local festival, clearing debris from sports fields, or performing routine upkeep on playground equipment and restrooms, your work directly impacts the quality of life in our city.
While the core schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the nature of public service means flexibility is key. You may be called upon to work weekends or holidays to accommodate special events, respond to inclement weather, or meet shifting operational demands. This variability ensures that our parks are always prepared, regardless of the season or the calendar.
Applicants must possess a valid driver's license. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications of a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply. Those with preferred qualifications in landscaping or equipment operation will be considered for the role.
The City is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse workforce.
