The Loss Prevention Team Lead serves as a critical guardian of the store's assets and safety. This role exists to mitigate shrink through proactive prevention practices, ensuring a secure environment for both customers and team members. The position blends investigative rigor with leadership, requiring the ability to detect and apprehend theft while simultaneously training the team on prevention techniques and maintaining strict inventory accuracy.
Day-to-day, the Team Lead oversees all Loss Prevention activities, conducting investigations into customer and team member incidents. You will monitor cash discrepancies through exception-based reporting and partner closely with Inventory Control to reduce shrink. A significant portion of the role involves managing physical security infrastructure, including CCTV, alarm systems, and fire safety protocols, while also overseeing the tagging and wrapping of high-risk merchandise.
