About the Role
The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a vital role in supporting retail operations by actively deterring theft and ensuring the safety of the client, associates, and customers. This position is dedicated to maintaining a secure and pleasant shopping environment. Specialists in this role report directly to the Regional Security Retail Manager of their assigned area.
What You Will Do
In this position, you will serve as the frontline defense against retail loss. Your day-to-day activities involve conducting undercover surveillance to detect and apprehend shoplifters while recovering assets and ensuring safe apprehensions. You will be responsible for maintaining strict compliance with all laws and company policies regarding search, seizure, and evidence preservation.
Beyond the floor, you will prepare detailed incident reports for theft incidents and merchandise recoveries. The role may also require you to testify in court concerning criminal or civil cases related to your investigations. As a key member of the team, you will be expected to demonstrate business maturity, enthusiasm, and a high level of customer service.
