The Desktop Support Technician is a vital part of our IT operations, ensuring the seamless functioning of all computer-related equipment across our organization. This role serves as the first line of defense for end-users, handling helpdesk calls and tickets while maintaining the integrity of our software and hardware environments.
You will work closely with multiple departments within the company, collaborating both independently and as part of a team to resolve Level 1 issues regarding voice, data, and applications. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service excellence, as you will be responsible for building and testing PC hardware, managing network cabling, and supporting server system upgrades. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining IT security standards and developing user training programs.
This is a dynamic role that demands a self-starter who can take initiative, organize daily priorities with minimal supervision, and think outside the box. You will also be expected to maintain safety regulations while working in factory and warehouse areas, and may occasionally be required to work on-call, after hours, or weekends to support business needs.
