About the Role
GovCIO is seeking a System Administrator - Access Services to support critical national infrastructure, including Active Directory, multi-factor authentication, and remote access solutions. This fully remote position is dedicated to maintaining the security, integrity, and availability of the organization's digital environment. You will serve as a key point of contact for user authentication and access control, ensuring seamless operations for both internal and external customers.
In this role, you will troubleshoot complex access issues ranging from Group Policies and DNS to DUO Two-Factor Authentication and PIV-I technology. Your day-to-day involves responding to user queries, resolving access challenges in collaboration with IT teams, and escalating issues to Tier 2 when necessary. You will also be responsible for documenting resolutions, updating knowledge articles, and verifying customer satisfaction to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
Location and Work Model
This position is located within the United States and operates as a fully remote role. Candidates must be available to work flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM CT and participate in an on-call rotation. Limited travel (0-4 times per year) may be required.
Clearance Requirements
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an AOUSC Public Trust clearance. This role is designated as a Suitability/Public Trust position.

- check_circleSupport AD environment security, integrity, and availability for authentication and LDAP services
- check_circleTroubleshoot DUO Two Factor Authentication issues for desktop and VPN
- check_circleTroubleshoot Remote Access Authentication (RAA) issues
- check_circleDocument, review, update, or close tickets in ITSM tools and develop knowledge articles
- check_circleResolve Multi-Factor Authentication issues using PIV-I and phishing-resistant tools
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate's degree or higher (in a related discipline) with 3 years experience OR 7 years relevant experience
- verifiedMust be able to obtain and maintain an AOUSC Public Trust
- verifiedAbility to work flexible hours (7am - 6pm CT) and be on-call
- verifiedAbility to do limited travel (0-4 times a year)
Nice to Have
MCSA/MCSE Certification. Experience or knowledge of supporting Quest Active Roles Server (ARS) and other Quest Products. Working knowledge of PKI, digital certifications, and security tokens. PowerShell or Visual Basic scripting. Security Event and Privileged Access Management Solutions engineering. Security management, including auditing and user access control of databases. Microsoft Server systems administration. Knowledge of Remote Access Services such as Cisco Secure and Zscaler. Cross-platform OS knowledge [Linux, Mac OS X, Windows]. Cross-platform mobile device knowledge [iOS/Android]. Understanding of ITIL best practices.
