The College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is a premier educational institution dedicated to academic excellence, research, and community engagement. We foster an environment that supports innovation and student success, and we are actively seeking a Languages and Cultures lecturer to join our team.
This position establishes a pool of Lecturers in Languages and Cultures from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester based on departmental needs.
As a Lecturer, you will teach various courses in Languages and Cultures. The specific courses you teach will depend on the needs at the time of hire, and instruction may be delivered in person, online, or in a hybrid format. Because this is a pool posting, we will contact qualified individuals as needed to teach classes when a specific need arises within the department.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in the field OR significant experience in the field. If you are relying on significant experience, you must submit a Letter of Expertise written by the chair of the department for which you will be lecturing, in lieu of transcripts.
Please note that this posting is to create a pool of applicants; we will contact qualified individuals as needed. Applicants should either reside in Colorado or be prepared to relocate within two months of starting employment. We are excited to welcome new team members and will provide support and resources to help make your transition to Colorado as smooth as possible.
The University of Colorado Colorado Springs is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment. We are committed to creating a workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, and we encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. In accordance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, UCCS does not discriminate based on sex in our employment or compensation practices.

Candidates must already be in the United States with valid work authorization or an employment-based visa. If you already have valid U.S. work authorization or are on a visa that permits employment, we welcome your application. The work location is determined by course modality: on-campus, online, or hybrid, with remote teaching opportunities potentially available under certain conditions.
